Purposeful Collaboration

Our program came to be through a purposeful collaboration of inspired leaders who yearn to nurture talent and creativity.

An Enriching Experience: What Sets Our Training Apart?

Most importantly, we want you to discover the program and teachers that light your fire. Yoga is a path of service, and you cannot serve from an empty or even half-full cup. All too often, a new teacher experiences burn out or lacks the skills required to fulfill this role despite making a significant emotional, physical and monetary investment in a YTT program.

Through your Mat Happy Yoga Teacher Training experience, you’ll delve deep to access the highest teachings of this great tradition and unveil the teacher within, unleashing your individuality, creativity and brilliance. How? Our approach begins with YOU.

In this training, we offer you an opportunity to cultivate whole person health (body, mind, spirit) beginning with simple, sustainable practices of Ayurveda.

Why Ayurveda in Yoga Teacher Training?

The practice of yoga is about transformation. It is about whole person transformation. We use the physical practice of yoga to cultivate strength, flexibility and balance in the body and mind. We integrate those practices with Ayurveda to bring about balance in the gross and subtle aspects of the human body. As yoga teachers, we need to cultivate strength, flexibility and balance so that we can guide our students with love, patience and faith to their own transformation.
We do this through the 'laboratory' of our own experience.

Each trainee will establish a daily ritual (dinacharya) of Self-care which includes healthy diet supporting our unique body constitution, practices to help the physical body operate optimally (stay healthy, improve immunity, manage energy) and practices that will guide us inward to a deeper understanding of Self. The Self is the source of our inner wisdom. This wisdom is so often overlooked in our daily life. As a yoga teacher, this wisdom is what will guide you to serve your students at your best.
