Melinda is a yogi and artist with a passion for vinyasa yoga, drawing, and animals. She loves to craft and teach creative flowing Vinyasa sequences which heat the body, focus the breath, and allow the mind to release. She received her RYT 200 hour teacher training through Mat Happy Yoga, with a focus on Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. After being on and off the mat for nearly 20 years, Melinda became fully immersed in her practice several years ago after years of working in a high-stress corporate environment. As she advanced her practice, she discovered both the physical and mental benefits of yoga, which inspired her to share her passion for yoga with others.
Melinda believes that yoga is not about being strong, flexible, or fit, but is about self-care to become a better you at any stage of life – both on and off the mat. She offers challenging, yet well-balanced classes geared towards all levels, with a focus on combining breathwork, physical postures, meditation, and relaxation. She hopes her fellow yogis leave her classes feeling accomplished, proud, and a little less stressed. Melinda’s mission as a yoga teacher is to promote inner peace, strength, compassion, and self-love.
