Amy has always been drawn to an active lifestyle, from cheering, playing softball and basketball to eventually taking up running. After ACL reconstruction surgery, she knew she needed an activity to take better care of not only her physical body but her mental health as well.
Amy started practicing yoga several years ago to gain more knee flexibility and alleviate lower back pain, however quickly found the benefits of the total mind, body, breath connection. After just a few classes, she was hooked. Yoga helped her learn how to deal with stress and find inner strength.
Amy received her 200-hour certification in 2018 through Mat Happy studio. Her classes focus on fun and energizing sequences to make you sweat and clear your mind.
When not on her mat, you can find Amy on a long walk with her dog Hunter, traveling with her husband Mike, or at an OSU game.
